Life is hard and sometimes you feel like you have to be strong ALL-THE-TIME. Sometimes, just waking up and getting through the day with all the thoughts spinning around in your head can weigh you down. How do you feel happy, capable, worthy, and fulfilled? Life challenges can be difficult to navigate on our own, and sometimes it is even more challenging as a couple. Maybe you feel misunderstood or like your partner can't hear what you are trying to tell them? You deserve a chance to slow down and start sorting things out. The good news is that Individual or couples counseling is an amazing opportunity to do just that. I believe that everyone has the potential to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life and my goal is to help my clients unlock their potential and achieve their goals.
I am a mother to two teenage boys and I have been married for 19 years. Personally, I understand joys and hardships family life can bring. There are so many growing pains that we all experience as we navigate this life for our first time. I also come from a very large family, which brings all sorts of fun relational patterns that can be both empowering, but also sometimes dysfunctional. I am therapist, but also a human. I have had to figure things out just like everyone else. As a therapist, I am grateful for the opportunities to help others also sort through life difficulties and learn new coping skills to improve their mental health.
SERVICES OFFERED
I take a down to earth approach to counseling and offer an engaging and interactive experience. I value my relationships with my clients, and I love my job. I offer a warm, authentic and sometimes humorous environment. I want my clients to feel like they can be their true self and share openly. That being said, I come with a lot of experience. I have been working in the behavioral health field for going on 18 years in a variety of capacities. I have been trained in numerous evidence-based techniques and therapies to help my clients reach their mental health goals.

I enjoy working with couples and incorporating the skills I have learned as a Level 1 Certified Gottman Therapist. The Gottman Method is a research-based approach to providing couples counseling and is based on 40 years of scientific research. Rather than just talking about problems couples are having, this method involves specific interventions to reduce conflict and increase positive emotions that strengthen relationships. Couples are provided with education and hands on skills that can be used to decrease conflict, improve communication, and build connection and intimacy.
